The Benton County Historical Society maintains a growing collection of over 70,000 cultural artifacts, natural history specimens, and archival materials from Oregon State University. The Museum offers insights into the history of the region through a range of curatorial strategies, and brings new educational, social and cultural opportunities to the community.

Located opposite a 125-year-old general store and the former territorial capital of Oregon, the 19,000 sq.ft. museum asserts a contemporary presence, while respectfully complementing these sites through massing, material, detail and close engagement with the street.

Completed in 2020, the Corvallis Museum presents an inspired dialogue of art and history, and an inviting new model for local and regional institutions throughout the country.
