Services

Figure Ground Collective specializes in the strategic planning, design, and curatorial services for art, culture, and community institutions. Our projects bring space and narrative together to create meaningful experiences for the people who use them.

Museums, galleries, performing arts spaces, and cultural venues are places of physical and intellectual exchange. Architecture can frame artworks and artifacts, shape the experience of performance, and influence how stories and ideas are shared with audiences. We create spaces that invite curiosity, encourage discovery, and draw people into the stories, performances, and experiences they encounter.

Collaboration is central to our practice. Our team brings together architects, interior designers, artists, curators, writers, and nonprofit professionals, with expertise across the full spectrum of project development—from initial visioning, planning, and strategic advising to architectural design, exhibition development, programming, and community engagement. Our goal is to create places that are thoughtfully designed, culturally relevant, and deeply connected to the people and communities they serve.

Figure Ground Collective is a Washington State–licensed architecture practice.
